Wrong Music + Instrumentality free party (UK/South)
Not much info yet except that Wrong Music and Instrumentality (both of who have been a part of our lives in Brighton over the past 3 years) have teamed up to present a free party somewhere in the South of England on Saturday 16th August through to Sunday 17th August. Facebook event can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=21965388162 but you'll have to watch for updates. I guess we'll have to watch out for the location. Expect wild breakcore / electronica countryside antics plus a sad farewell to Mike Reteric at Instrumentality, who still hasn't told me where he's off to... but he will be...

Chevron just put up a new video for one of his most recent tracks, "Renegade Cherryade" (which must be one of the best track titles ever) from his EP on Ad Noiseam records.
Have a look:

TV Youth will be performing some of his newest material at BangFace (London, UK) this Friday 11th July in the middle room at 1am. Also playing are Luke Vibert, Chevron, and many other electronic favorites, following the old BangFace tradition of phenomenally good...
We feature this month on Rob Booth's Electronic Explorations mix as part of his special on net labels. Respect out to Rob for giving us the time on this one, his show has had some really great guests including a few that release with us. There's quite a few upcoming tunes included in the mix, so check it out.

For anyone looking for some life in the current seemingly quite stagnant waters of Dubstep, have a listen to Ital Tek's debut album on Planet Mu Records, available now through Boomkat / Juno. Anyone who's had a peek over our back catalogue, or has listened to Net-Lab material since '06 will know that he's been a big contributor to our success, with two great EPs of some quite experimental electronica-come-dubstep vibes.
Ital Tek also had great success with a sell-out 12" on Planet Mu and another sell-out 12" on...
A long time in the making, and due to delays also on our part, TV Youth's "Sisters" EP is now finally available for download here at Net-Lab for free....
Style: Electro, Techno, Electronica
TV Youth presents a 25 minute collection of trademark big-basskick dancefloor-filling electro tunes and slightly more downtempo, thoughtful numbers. “Forward Actions” starts the game introducing all of your expected 00’s electro character sounds, followed closely by “Stations”, with a funkier and more tightly constructed vibe. Rolling straight across to “Sisters” riff-kick pounding which by its half way point has progressed to a quite complex piece combining rolling drums, guitar riff....
Style: Acid, Electro, Electronica
Odan has one of the most engaging and danceable live shows we have seen in the last few years, so it brings us great pleasure to present some of his work for release on Net-Lab. Charlbury Gardens is a collection of super danceable electro/acid tracks, jumping straight into it with "Oof2" and its shuffling beats and gorgeously sqweltchy bassline. "Kingswood Funk" is an obvious favorite too, with a really strong melody, and then later some quite sad feeling synth tones...
Style: Acid, Electro, Techno, Electronica
Part One of our "Acid..." compilation series, featuring 15+ tracks from some established names as well as some total newcomers in a collection of Acid influenced material featuring many a sqwelchy bassline. Includes tracks from Chevron, Voltek, Mully and Shinra amongst many others. Dedicated to anyone who remembers when basslines were a little more diverse than a wobble, the compilation explores both melodic electro-style acidic numbers, through to the more pounding techno and experimental variety.
Style: Ambient, Electronica
A collection of delicate pieces constrasting Mully’s previously heard style of work, each track an amalgamation of flowing melody, micro-beats, and ambience. Many of the tracks have a warm, contemplative feel, though also with a melancholy vibe throughout. “Icelandia” and “Beach” are definite first listen favorites, with tracks like “She Will Lose” that take a few more listens to really appreciate.
Style: Drum n Bass, Industrial, Hardcore, Breakcore
X&Trick on top form presenting his unique blend of Drum ‘n’ Bass, Industrial, Hardcore and Breakcore with plenty of fantastically obscure noises, thick bass and dischordant synths. Introduced by a collaborative track with Chevron, “Brighton”, each track on the release is recorded in a different location around the world and named accordingly. Dark, hard hitting and at times definitely summarising the euro/belgium scene, the release is also quite diverse, with the more melodic starting track through to “Dubai”, which is reminiscent of an Evol Intent / Current Value style dark drum and bass, and then completed by the pounding techno of “Gent”
